At Veterans of Macon County, we are dedicated to honoring our veterans and to recognizing their service and leadership. Our Veterans Assistance Commission looks for those veterans who have gone above and beyond in showing family, community, or business support. We invite you to tell us about the special veteran in your life that has made a difference, and we will select one to receive a prize and our heartfelt gratitude. Tom made 22 trips in 2020 driving our DAV VAN. He also did 7 Special Trips during Covid with his personal vehicle taking Veterans to C&P Exams or picking them up from hospital visits. He is also Adjutant to his American Legion Post and Serves on our Standards Committee for the Commission. He is a volunteer from the word go and is a great asset to our community.
